Here's another example of BE CAREFUL where you get your exercise & nutrition advice. An XSport trainer just posted in our RIO Facebook feed this pic of her buying EXTRA gum. When we look at the EXTRA website (http://www.wrigley.com/global/brands/extra.aspx#panel-3) for the ingredients we see at least 6 sources of artificial sugar alcohols/artificial sweeteners, artificial flavoring, and artificial coloring. Anything artificial in the body (man-made) does not get metabolized by the body = turned into fat. These artificial sugars/sweeteners are also what the cancer cells already in the body LOVE to feed off of to grow & spread. Artificial coloring too has been linked to causing birth defects. If you have to chew gum/mints but organic ones. You can find them at Trader Joe's or Whole Foods.

Sad how we live in one of the only industrialized nations whose government requires organic food to be labeled but not GMO food. GMOs are why people are getting diseases like cancer more frequently & at younger ages, having reproductive issues/birth defects, digestive system issues, body toxicity issues, more food allergies, etc. Consuming non-organic fruits & veggies that are full of pesticides/herbicides & non-organic meats & dairy full of hormones & antibiotics are what also cause birth defects, increased cases of mental illness & other terminal diseases like cancer.
Google Monsanto & research how they've been allowed to poison our food supply over the past 50yrs. It's no coincidence that in those same 50yrs obesity rates have quadrupled & cases of diseases like cancer have increased. Protect yourself & loved ones by boycotting Monsanto products, and choosing organic foods. The world is controlled by money, so if we demand organic, healthy food by the power of our spending, these companies will be forced to supply organic, healthy foods.

You're in control of looking & feeling your best, so you set yourself up for success or failure today & every day by not having your see food with you at work/school.

This photo was posted on Facebook. Despite all the hashtags here's at least two major reasons why this smoothie & ones like it are NOT #healthy for you:
2) Look at the nutrition facts. Way too much sugar to be drinking. All that sugar is because almost 50% of the ingredients are fruits which is just fructose without the fiber that comes from drinking the meat of the fruit with the juice. All that fructose will spike your insulin (blood sugar) levels through the roof, which then increases levels of the body fat producing hormone cortisol in the body. You're better off buying your own organic fruits & veggies, making a smoothie that's 80-90% veggies with just a little fruit for taste. And you must drink the meat of the veggies & fruit, not just the juice, so stick with blenders instead of juicers to make your #healthy smoothie.

YouTube comments are so amusing sometimes. Jessica Wilson's dilemma is that she needs to eat 1500cal to see results, but doesn't want to spend all day eating. Solution: Eat SMALL meals/snacks every 3hrs that take just minutes to eat. A 1500cal/day limit = breakfast, lunch, and dinner should be max of 350cal = 1050cal. Then there should be 150cal snacks in between breakfast & lunch, lunch & dinner, and three hours after dinner. What are 350cal meals? Examples = 1) Three eggs + 1cup organic fruit, 2) Small bowl of quinoa + 1cup organic fruit, 3) 3/4oz piece of meat/fish + 2cups steamed organic veggies. What are 150cal snacks? Examples = 1 organic banana + 1 tbsp of organic raw/unsaleable almond butter, 2 organic apples, 1 cup of organic plain Greek yogurt + 1/4cup of organic fruit you mix in, 1/2cup of unsalted/raw nuts. There's ALWAYS a solution to every problem, if you're willing to put in the effort!

On Sunday May 26, 2013 in 52 countries protesters peacefully marched against Monsanto & their poisoning of our U.S./global food & drink sources. Did we hear about it on any mainstream news? NO. Coincidence? NO.
Because that same week our U.S. Senate overwhelmingly voted against a bill that would allow states to require that Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) be labeled so U.S. citizens would know that the GMO food they're eating is not only making them gain body fat, but poisoning them to make them get diseases like cancer, and have reproductive issues/birth defects, digestive system issues, body toxicity issues, more food allergies, etc. Our elected officials vetoed us having the knowledge to save our lives & those we love. Coincidence? NO.
Because on March 26, 2013 while the nation was distracted with gay marriage debate, our President & Congress passed the Monsanto Protection Act which protects Monsanto from any criminal/civil litigation & liability if you get terminally sick from their food. The Monsanto Protection Act also limits judicial review of genetically modified seeds/crops, which allows them to be planted WITHOUT federal safeguards in place to protect our environment, farming families, and U.S. citizens. Our U.S. government was already one of the only industrialized nations that does NOT require foods to be labeled GMO. They only require foods to be labeled if they're organic.
Google "Monsanto." Research them & get informed, ***because every day of your life you're eating Monsanto GMO food if you're not buying organic meats, dairy, fish, veggies, fruits, etc.*** We need to keep ourselves & our loved ones safe from their food & drinks. Do you like scary stories? If so, you'll love this TRUE story about a REAL life killer monster named MONSANTO. Monsanto was born in 1901 as a leading producer of plastics. They then invented LED lights and warfare poisons such as DDT & Agent Orange. After the Vietnam war those warfare poisons were no longer used, so Monsanto turned it's poison making machine to our U.S. agriculture with the invention of pesticides, herbicides, rBST & other bovine hormones, artificial sweeteners like aspartame & saccharin, MSG, and Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) such as seeds & crops, just to name a few. Since then the rate of obesity in the U.S. has QUADRUPLED! Cases of people getting diseases like cancer and at younger ages has also significantly increased in the last 50yrs since Monsanto has become involved in our U.S. agriculture. Coincidence? NOPE!
Here's why:
1) GMOs are also why people are having reproductive issues/birth defects, digestive system issues, body toxicity issues, more food allergies, etc.
2) rBST dairy (recombinant bovine somatotropin, aka rBGH, aka BGH, recombinant bovine growth hormone) is a chemical hormone given by farmers to make dairy cows more productive. rBGH also makes these cows more sickly, causing mastitis (inflammation of the udders, often caused by infection). And it's not just cows that are getting sick; rBGH has also been associated with an increased risk of breast cancer, colon cancer and prostate cancer in humans. For it to be organic milk it must have that "USDA Organic" label. If a milk doesn't have that label, that milk comes from cows given the rBGH or rBST synthetic hormones.
3) Artificial sweeteners like aspartame & saccharin are what cancer cells already in the body love to feed off of to grow bigger, stronger, and spread. Both are known neurotoxins which cause insomnia, migraines, anxiety, vision loss, muscle spasms, and even death. Not to mention, since they are artificial, the body cannot properly metabolize them = gaining body fat.

This picture is comical, but it's actually a really good idea to help us who need motivation to eat healthy & exercise daily. Since most of us are always on our phone anyway, each day set an alarm on your phone for times you'll know you'll be free so you can be reminded to exercise or at least several times a day to do 10mins of something strenuous (pushups, lunges, jumping jacks, crunches, squats, etc). Then set alarm to go off every three hours, so you know it's time to eat something SMALL so you can keep your metabolism fast & burn more calories all day long.

If you are pregnant, and want to lose the "baby weight" quickly after & stay as healthy as possible while pregnant, the best way to do that is to eat healthy & stay active DURING the pregnancy.
Exercising while pregnant IS okay to do until the third trimester. A few precautions need to be taken though: 1) Wear a heart rate monitor while you do, because your heart rate should not exceed 140 for a long period of time to minimalize your body's internal core temperature. 2) No exercises that involve any laying flat on the back and no prolonged standing ones. Both pool blood around the fetus which is dangerous. 3) No jumping/bouncing exercises. 4) No using unstable equipment like stability balls/BOSUs/etc unless under the direct supervision of a certified fitness instructor.
Eating healthy is essential to your baby's future physical & mental health, and keeping you healthy during pregnancy.
•Avoid Genetically Modified Foods (GMOs). Not only will GMOs make you obese, but they are the reason why people are getting diseases like cancer more & more and at younger ages. GMOs are also why people are having reproductive issues/birth defects, digestive system issues, body toxicity issues, more food allergies, etc.

Not to mention, since they are artificial, the body cannot properly metabolize them = gaining body fat.
•Avoid artificial food coloring (Red 40, Yellow 5 and Yellow 6, etc.) which are found in 90% of the food & other products we use. Artificial dyes have been linked to causing behavioral problems in children such as hyperactivity, attention disorders, and ADHD.
•Avoid non-organic fruits & veggies that are loaded with pesticides and other chemicals that cause birth defects, and other diseases.
•Avoid non-organic, hormone-filled, antibiotic-filled meats & fish. All of those hormones & medicines cause birth defects, and other diseases.
Bottom line: eat ORGANIC fruits, veggies, meats, fish, and dairy! What you consume during pregnancy transmits to your child and shapes them physically, mentally, and emotionally.
